SPOT found a 24% landed-cost delta on 9in compostable clamshells from an alternate supplier. Substitution policy is 'Comparable Alternatives' — needs Chef/Operations sign-off on spec before this can move to PO.

Sent samples to the North and San Marcos kitchen managers for a side-by-side check. Waiting on their sign-off before we approve the switch.
